INJURY PREVENTION

 

 

My Mission is to keep people mobile, happy, and healthy.  Often the area of pain or injury can be due to faulty mechanics elsewhere.  Finding these connections has led me to my current model of practice.  I enjoy looking at people move as a whole, and incorporate functional movement training, core strengthening, and general fitness into their programs.

 

Over the past 10-15 years, I’ve seen an overall decrease in flexibility, mobility, and worsening postures in everyone.  Things I used to only see in adults, are showing up in teens and 20 year olds.  Taking away pain always makes someone feel better.  Improving their overall mobility, function, and activities has proven to result in better postures, making people healthier and happier.

 

 

My goal is to work with youth, adolescents, and adults, to keep good posture, motion, and function, so everyone can do all the activities they need and want to freely.  This will also help avoid injury.  Our bodies were not meant to sit or stand for such lengths of time.  Finding healthy environments and ways to promote motion throughout the day, would keep people feeling good and happy at school and work, as well as at home and in play.
