TESTIMONIALS

"I live to swim. When I strained my adductor I was very discouraged and felt like I would never get better. Virtually everything I did caused pain. Paula helped me find things I could do to lower the pain and keep swimming. This was really important because I needed to keep having fun and spend time with my teammates. Even though I didn't get to swim most of the events I wanted to at Junior Olympics in December, I could still swim backstroke and had fun, which made me feel like there was hope.  By the time the pain was gone, I had also gotten significantly stronger in ways I could not have imagined. In my second swim meet back, I dropped 8 seconds off my 100-breaststroke and am now the 11th fastest 9 year old in the United States. I also have 5 new far Western Championship times. With Paula's help, my injury made me even faster.

Paula understands kids and how much they love to do sports. I would tell any kid that was injured to go and see Paula and end up even better than before."

“I made it all the way to Santa Barbara!  Here’s a photo of the group in Big Sur. Max day was 77 miles from San Luis Obispo to Solvang. A beautiful ride!

Thanks for all your help, I literally couldn’t have done it without you.”

“I have had problems with my knee for three years. I went to two different physical therapists before Paula, and nothing worked. Within a short amount of time with Paula my knee was feeling better, and by the end of my time with her I was pain free. Now, almost a year later I am still pain free. I always had fun during my physical therapy with Paula. I would recommend her to anyone who needs physical therapy.”

“I started seeing Paula for PT a few days after my ACL replacement surgery. At the beginning it was difficult to understand how integral PT was in ensuring a full recovery. Paula was an excellent coach in guiding me through the recovery process. She can read your progress and knows when to push forward and when to pull back a bit. In addition to the physical aspects of recovery, Paula does a fantastic job with the mental aspects and is a great motivator. I was impressed by improvements to my knee, but also noticed significant improvement in my general level of fitness.

Shortly after my therapy I made it to the top of Mt. Rainier (14,411 feet.). Without Paula and her team’s help motivating me through the difficult times, guiding me through the slow and often painful recovery process, and providing a positive forum by which to become physically fit, I may

never have achieved this goal. I highly recommend Paula no matter what your long term objectives are. Like mine, yours may change as Paula walks with you throughout the recovery process.”

“I am very appreciative to Paula Chan for her role in my recovery post ACL reconstruction and meniscus clean-up surgery.  Paula got me moving quickly and provided detailed “at home” exercise plans to compliment her physical therapy treatments. She maximized our time together and was always professional.  Her patience, skill, knowledge and positive attitude helped me achieve significant results. While I’m still working on strength and agility, I am thrilled that I’m starting to run again.”

“Whitney is dancing up a storm still and hasn’t had any hip problems or other problems since you saw her.  She is loving dance and school and all is well.  I am back to a regular basketball schedule of 1-2 pickup games a week, team fitness 3x week, jogging a couple times a week, and just wrapping up fall softball.  My calves are still great and not limiting my activities or speed at all.  I am so happy and just want to say thank you again!  After what I went through for those couple years, I don’t think I am overstating the fact that you really are a miracle worker.  I am keeping up the stretching routine (1x daily) and if my legs or calves ever get a little tight, that seems to keep me on top of it.  Again, thanks from two very grateful patients and hope all is well for you!”
